Friday Five

I have never done the Friday Five, because I find that supremely self-absorbed questions are usually asked. But, well, it’s my blog, so screw ya:

1. List five things you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year.
-I would like a full-time job.
-I would like to get my car’s oil changed.
-I would like to refashion my bedroom.
-I would like to visit New York City.
-I would like to, I dunno, learn how to make my cats love each other.
-BONUS: I would like to start working out again.

2. List five people you’ve lost contact with that you’d like to hear from again.
-There are a slew of people that I have been able to reconnect with through leading the planning of my ten-year class reunion. Hurrah!

3. List five things you’d like to learn how to do.
-I would love to learn to play the guitar.
-Hell, I’d learn the bass.
-I would like to learn how to party proper, like Icelanders do.
-I would like to learn how to speak a new language, say Farsi or Spanish or Icelandic or anything.
-I would like to learn how to get paid to travel the world.

4. List five things you’d do if you won the lottery (no limit).
Oh man, this is a pet peeve of mine, this winning the lottery thing. Basically, I think winning large sums of money would turn most people into horrible human beings.
-I would invest in a number of charitable organizations.
-I would buy my mom a new house, my dad a new house, my brother a new house, my sister a new house.
-I would buy myself a new house, too, of course.
-I would move to New York City.
-I would build a fenced-in outdoor play-adventure structure for my cats.

5. List five things you do that help you relax.
-Yoga
-Foot massages
-Listen to music
-Herbal tea
-Read
