Maesa Rae

I wrote a piece about a new musician at Hampshire College named Maesa Rae. I thought you might want to have your attention directed to it.

So….

I have been sewing. I have another skirt nearly done. It should have been done a long time ago, but I’ve been spending my time making handbags and daydreaming about fabric. I can’t show you any of the bags because they are all going to be gifted to some of the ladies who read this blog.

Just came across your blog looking for clubs in Western Mass and noticed your blog is all about designing and sewing clothing.

Any suggestions on how to learn how to do this? Any sewing clubs in the area that can teach someone how to sew :) I am in the greater Noho area, if you have any suggestions. I have been meaning to learn as it sounds like fun to make clothes. I used to make clothes when I was a kid, but was terrible at it (and didn’t have a sewing machine then like I do now).

    Thanks for any input.

Hi Kim, Thanks for visiting my blog. :) as far as your question about sewing classes – I go to the Creative Arts Center in Holyoke. I learned basic techniques as well as how to follow a pattern.
