When i did it I came out “The Midland” which reminds me that somebody from Toronto once told me I had a Toronto accent. I told him that Toronto-ites have a western Mass accent.
I got The West, which I thought was strange, unless we are counting Western Mass as The West. The good news is that it said that I basically have no accent.
It totally got me right – the inland north! And to think that I’ve spent the last 16 years on the East Coast trying to lose my midwesterness. I guess I’ll just go open a can of pop.

I’m from Pittsburgh but this thing rated me as having a Boston accent most of all. Is it because I pronounce Mary, merry and marry all differently?
