dude what is up with leggings?
This is one trend bandwagon i will not be hopping on.
Seriously, why do I want to look like I am going biking or just got back from jazzercize? This is the wrongest fashion trend since people tried to bring back leg warmers. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.
Wrong.

I like the leg warmers. I don’t know why, but they’re hot. As for the leggings, I totally agree with you. Also, unless she has a large purse, a woman wearing leggings means there’s someone else around holding all her stuff. Finally, should I even say it? All right. Regardless of the fashion statement they make, form-fitting clothes are not for everyone. God knows I won’t be wearing one of those tight clingy shirts anytime soon.

Oh, one more thing. As anyone who went to high school in the late 80’s and early 90’s can attest, leggings = extralarge sweater covering the butt and hips area. If things get really bad, there will be a polo neck shirt underneath the sweater and a pendent coming out over the top the of the poloneck and dangling just above the clavicle. To add to the horror, that poloneck will be the same color as the socks, which will be worn over the leggings and under a pair of keds. This outfit must be avoided. Keds are fine. Everything else must go.

The girl next to me on the plane yesterday was wearing (I think) both leggings and Uggs. And I realized that I recognized both solely due to the number of blogs I’ve read trashing both trends… poor girl was a collision of bad fashion. I guess.

eww uggs and leggings. that’s pukey.
And really, after leggings, what’s next? Stirrup pants?

Counted a dozen pair of stirrups on campus this week. Is the historical cliche true: we’ve forgotten them, so now we’re doomed to repeat them? Gag.

I don’t like leggings or tights. Since I’ve lived in MA (a few years), I have generally avoided going outside in the winter unless absolutely necessary. Now that I am hibernating slightly less, I am looking at these: http://www.sock-dreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_detail_ProductID_417.php
I think they would work under pants or with a skirt in the slightly above freezing weather

Now Leggings For Men? Yes!
Leggings for men is not a new trend – one that’s been around for years. It’s time to get over the body image constraints and go for the comfort. Just wear them. Leggings are perfect casual wear for women AND men. Having worn leggings for years, I’m aware of people’s comments both negative and very positive. After all, it’s not the leggings on the man but the man in the leggings. Everyone looks good in leggings and some people look great!
If more people, women and men, wear leggings then it will just be another apparel choice. At one time denim jeans were worn only by miners digging for gold. Now they are everywhere.
So never say never – when you do decide to wear leggings, choose a well made pair – not with cotton fibers that bag out over time but a high tech fiber that retains its shape. Go for the comfort and support. Leggings that go to the ankle look better than capri style that chop the leg. Plus the full length leggings support you from your ankle to your waist and give you an energetic lift. Laugh, Live, Love & Enjoy! Check out http://www.UnJeans.com
