TIRH M is a delightful meal creationist. Tonight, whilst I blog, he is preparing a lovely pork dinner with sundried tomatoes and spicy andouille sausage, with a side of steamed spinach. I get to steam the spinach. Last week, he prepared a lovely jambalaya, which he claims was “JUST spicy shrimp and sausage over rice.” Technically, it’s only jambalaya if you cook the rice with the spices and shrimp and sausage together. Purist. It tasted just like jambalaya to me!
What will he serve tomorrow? And the next?
With all of the entries cropping up in the friends blog, I’m at a loss as to how to promote them other than posting here. But, anyway, Emily’s written a hilarious love letter/plea to her nether regions (no, not those). Here’s an excerpt:
Now, dear, don’t forget that i love you. Everything i feel for you is inspired by the profound love i have for you. Any frustration or pity or confusion – and even the fear and anger – are motivated by love. Oh, i know that you’ve always been a sensitive one. You’ve had your problems with acid. And you’ve gotten the taste buds to support you. They hate the tomatoes and have mixed feelings about orange juice and coffee. And i praise the taste buds’ support of you. It’s hard being a hater of tomatoes, this was especially true in my vegetarian years, but whatever makes you happy makes me happy.
