Along with our new computer we got a new printer/scanner combination thingy. So I’ve been scanning in photos. My most recent scan is this photo of Miles as a kitteh.

He was born in October 2002 in Springfield and spent his formative months in my apartment in Amherst. Here is what he looks like now.

Over the weekend, we did a Miles photo shoot for a Fat Cat Flickr Off. Miles did not win on account of his fat-concealing fur, but look at the competition. He’s really more big-boned than anything.
I have yet to get a proper photo of Molly using her spider-like skills to get down from our balcony, but I did catch this photo of her waiting for me to leave so that when I was out of view she could shimmy down. Sure enough, as soon as I came back upstairs after grabbing this shot, she had traded places with me and was looking up at me from the yard. I didn’t catch that shot, because I was just too exasperated. In this photo she is likely spying on some birds.
Luddie does this every morning.
I was inspired to start recording video of our cats after Heather sent me the kitty treadmill video. WARNING: If you watch it too many times your head might explode.
Oh hell, another alpaca photo for good measure.
Alpacas and proms. This is what I’m all about.

It APPEARS as though these alpacas like me, but they don’t.
They hate me.
the springer spaniel.

very cute, but totally anti-climactic. You can tell Lester Holt is disappointed.
The standard poodle may have just gotten some boos from the audience as the best in show competition kicks off.

Favorite: PBGV (left) – the winner in tonight’s hound group. Beat those poodles and that dandy shrimp-looking thing (right) too!
I
n bunk dog show news, the poodle lobbyists are obviously paying off judges! Not one but two poodles
are in the running for Best in Show in New York at this week’s Westminster Kennel Club Show.
First up – in the toy group (left) it’s the toy poodle who beat the Pug and Brussels Griffon. The only silver lining is that the poodle muscled the Pekingese out of first. That is small comfort as later in the non-sporting group competition, ANOTHER poodle took top prize, this time a standard (right).
I smell a scandal!
